2019 bridal trends

2019 bridal trends

There is no denying the 'Meghan effect' on this season's wedding trends. Meghan's matte silk Givenchy gown featured no embroidery, no lace, no beading, and was all about shape and sleekness.

This trend for more streamlined, simple yet elegant silhouettes allows for more interesting jewellery options and we are seeing a trend for more statement wedding jewellery to balance the entire ensemble.

The other royal wedding of last year is also influencing this season's trends. To her wedding with Jack Brooksbank, Princess Eugenie wore a Peter Pilotto backless dress which purposefully showed her scoliosis scar. Backless silhouettes and back drop jewellery are firmly among the 2019 wedding trends.

Finally, one of the biggest bridal jewellery trends for 2019 is the return of the pearl. Whether it's a simple understated drop necklace or a statement pair of earrings, a subtle pearl scattered veil or an elaborately pearl embroidered bodice, pearls are most definitely enjoying a revival this wedding season.
