#meetthemaker - Tamzin

Tamzin’s love of jewellery began as a child with her grandmother's jewellery box of extravagant beads and crystals. Years later this developed into a career in jewellery design and silversmithing, working at a jewellers in Bath alongside part-time studying.  She progressed to management, visual merchandising, diamond buying and designing for a prestigious luxury jewellers.

Her fascination with jewellery has led her to study gemology, silversmithing and jewellery design, achieving a higher level jeweller's diploma.

Tamzin lives in Bath with her dog Bird.  Her passions are yoga and her art; specialising in illustration, card design, wall art and painted sculptures.

In 2018, Tamzin took part in the popular Minerva Owls of Bath Art Trail, in which local artists decorated owl sculptures which were later auctioned off for charity.  Tamzin's owl 'Articus' was one of our favourites.

Favourite jewellery to make:

"Designing makes my heart glow, holding inspiration and moulding it into new ideas, helping them form on paper to become reality... I adore that, especially the new ideas for Christmas. Some of the old favourites are great to make this time of year. I love the Luna necklace for its classic simplicity."

"This year it feels particularly important to value those close to us, even if we can't be with them. I think our star studs would make a great gift this Christmas "
