#meetthemaker - Emma

Emma joined the Honey Willow workshop team last summer. Emma is a music graduate and discovered her love for making jewellery at silversmithing classes. Inspired, she set up her own jewellery bench at home, where she continues to design and make her own jewellery.

Emma lives in Bristol with her husband Rich. In her spare time she enjoys going on long hikes, practising yoga, playing the piano, or spending time digging holes in her allotment and learning how to grow things.

Favourite jewellery to make:

"The milestone necklaces - particularly when it's for an 80th, 90th or 100th birthday. Using that many texturing hammers is a joy, and it's a privilege to make something for such a special occasion."

 Favourite jewellery to give:

"I love making bangles to give as gifts, and the ones at Honey Willow are lovely and dainty."

 Favourite jewellery to wear:

"It has to be the chunky gold hoops. They have a very pleasing weight to them!"

Favourite part of working at Honey Willow:

"Getting to make all day, with a really fun team of people. There's rarely a day where there isn't a funny story from someone, and everyone is so generous with sharing their knowledge and skills."
